C.U.T.S. August Workshops 2008 at Mello Mello
Sat 09/08- Bookbinding: Learn to make you own hard-back sketchbooks and journals.
Sun 10/08- Basic Sewing Machine Intro: Basic instruction on operating and maintaining an electric sewing machine. Participants receive a CUTS sewing machine certificate entitling them to hire facilities for their own work.
Sat 16/08- A line Skirt: Learn to make a simple skirt, some materials provided, but please feel free to bring 1.5 mtrs of your fabric of choice. Participants receive a CUTS sewing machine certificate entitling them to hire facilities for their own work.
Sun 17/08- Advanced Sewing Machine Techniques: Learn decorative techniques such as machine embroidery and Applique using an electric sewing machine. Advanced sewing machine users only. Participants receive a CUTS sewing machine certificate entitling them to hire facilities for their own work.
Sat 23/08- Summer top: Learn to make a simple top, great for summer days or nights out, some materials provided, but please feel free to bring a meter of your fabric of choice. Participants receive a CUTS sewing machine certificate entitling them to hire facilities for their own work.
Sun 24/08- Bookbag: Learn to make a tote-style bag, great for books and A4 files. Participants receive a CUTS sewing machine certificate entitling them to hire facilities for their own work.
Sat 30/08- Screen Print Introduction: Learn the basics of screen-printing from making your screen to finishing your print. Participants receive a CUTS Screen Print certificate entitling them to hire facilities for their own work.
Sun 31/08- Cushion workshop: Ideally suited to those who have participated in the Advanced Sewing Machine Techniques or Screen Print Introduction workshops. Use your Printed or Appliqued designs to make up simple scatter cushions.
All workshops run from 1 till 6pm @ C.U.T.S, 1st Floor, Mello Mello, 40-42 Slater Street.
All workshops cost £15 inclusive of materials (unless otherwise stated) to be paid in advance.
